How long does the whole process take?
+
A thorough cleaning with an exam will usually take close to 45 minutes. Following this, we will set up your teeth whitening, which takes an additional 45 minutes.
How does the laser teeth whitening system work?
+
The translucent bleaching gel is applied to the teeth and a laser light is used to activate the crystals to absorb the energy from the light and penetrate the teeth enamel to increase the lightning effect on the teeth. This results in lifting the shade of your teeth about 4-5 shades.
Do you bill my dental insurance for the teeth whitening?
+
Laser teeth whitening is not a covered expense by any dental insurance company as it is considered cosmetics. Therefore, we do not bill your dental insurance company for laser teeth whitening.
Is the teeth whitening process painful?
+
You may experience minor sensitivity for 24-48 hours after treatment! The process itself is painless and simple. Additionally, we provide patients the option to relax to a show/movie of their choosing!
What are the post-care instructions?
+
We’ll provide you with post-care instructions after the appointment, but the rule of thumb is super simple! Try to avoid eating or drinking anything that could stain a white shirt for 48 hours. If you do consume something like red wine, soy sauce, or anything highly pigmented, rinse with water to help preserve the results.
How do I maintain my brand-new smile?
+
Keep up with your regularly scheduled cleanings, exams, as well as your at-home care!
